Compost Drop-off hours from dawn to dusk
During the winter, composting didn’t stop. As you know, New York City hasn’t fully restored its composting program yet and chances are that if you dropped off any food scraps in the last year, they were processed by community run organizations like us.
Please, please, make sure you are only bringing us your food scraps. No plastic! (including those “compostable” bags, which have to be removed because they don’t decompose using our methods of composting).
- Practice proper social distancing.
- Households must stay together, coming alone is best.
- Please wear a mask and bring your own hand sanitizer.
- Please chop your scraps up in to smaller pieces as is possible.
Please, remember that composting takes infrastructure and hard labor, so consider making a donation to support this work.

…food and lots of it! Our garden is overflowing with delicious, natural, organic grub for our members.
…six different ways! Residential food scraps and yard clippings return to the soil via 3 bin, microorganisms, and even worms.
“What lies behind us and what lies before us
are small matters compared to what lies within us.
And when we bring what is within us out into
the world, miracles happen.”
